Share Your Eco-Friendly Eats

MASC-logoBrighter Planet is a blog and social networking tool which works to get people excited about greening their lifestyles, decreasing their carbon footprints, and spreading the word.  They do this through online campains, green rewards credit cards, carbon offsets, and seed money for/support of renewable energy projects.  They just launched a new campaign called Mastering the Art of Sustainable Cooking.  It is a contest for people to share their stories about completing any of the sustainable eating tips that Brighter Planet describes.  The stories are judged by a panel of reputables, namely Gary Hirshberg (CE-Yo of Stonyfield Farms) and the winners get cookbooks, magazines and other sustainable food tools.

I of course submitted a story immediately.  Mine was for the Eat Less Meat tip about my veggie chili recipe.  They say that the stories with the most thumbs up get more notice from the judges, so please visit and tell them what you know. Then post one of your own and let me know!

Mastering the Art of Sustainable Cooking is of course based on the title of Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking….check out my blog post about the new release Julie & Julia.
